    Valentyn Stadnytksyi

    Valentyn Stadnytksyi is director of the Spark Institute of Research and Innovation and a founding core member.

     

    Valentyn Stadnytskyi, who received his PhD in Physics from PurdueUniversity in 2017, received post-doctoral training at the National Institutes of Health, and co-founded the Spark Insitute of Research and Innovations in 2022. Currently, Dr. Stadnytskyi is a founding core member and a director of the institute.

     

    Valentyn is a Ukrainian-American scientists and entrepreneur. He was born in the Soviet Union but grew up in independent Ukraine. He received cumlaude Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

     

    In his early career, Valentyn has focused on basic research but quickly realized his passion to applied research, biomedical research and technology development focused research. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Valentyn has contributed to research on why we should wear masks. His work on droplet generation has been highly cited and was recognized by NIDDK Scientific Director’s award and NIH Director’s award.

    Madhur Srivastava

    Madhur Srivastava is a director of the Spark Institute of Research and Innovation and a founding core member.

     

    Madhur Srivastava received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University in 2018, received post-doctoral training at the Cornell University, and co-founded the Spark Insitute of Research and Innovations in 2022. Currently, Dr. Srivastava is a founding core member and a director of the institute.

    Madhur was born and raised in Lucknow, India. He received his undergraduate degree (2007-11) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from JUET, Guna, India. After his Bachelors, Madhur moved to United States to pursue his Post Graduate Degree in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering.

     

    Madhur is passionate about signal processing and is harnessing his expertise to solve problems in life sciences, physical sciences and engineering. He develops advanced computational methods for spectroscopy, imaging, and energy systems applications. He is leading the Signal Science Lab to develop and commercialize innovations for benefiting society and creating economic value.
